Battle Reviews

Played on easy with cheats. Didn't really care for this one. One mission was the type I dread where it's "destroy a few fighters, a few more drop out of hyperspace, rinse and repeat several times". The last mission had way too long of wait time, I understand using cheats can break that kind of thing but it was still around a 28 minute long battle.

Battle has a good story and is well made, however there are some large issues.
Later missions have endless enemy fighter squadrons and the final mission battle is bedlam as is the wait time.

In the end, it could have been great if a little more care was taken.

Tedious, long and poorly tested. This battle starts with a promising set of dogfights and several missions in the the Space Cadillac, see the T/D or the Überbomber, the Missile Boat. Up to first couple of missions is not completely bad. Briefings and animated maps are decently made, the plotline is good. But then you have the second half of the battle which is a total nightmare. Countless waves of fighters to shoot down, no reloading craft, and final mission is an orgy on technical ineptitude. A rebel fleet which has almost all of his CRS colliding into each other, your INT crossing through a rebel cruiser like knife in hot butter. A technical mess of galactic proportions. Additionally you will get the chance to shoot at immobile enemy fighters. Skip it. Don't you dare to fly this one unless you want a deep pain in the bottom of your back and a sore trigger finger.

There is another of the countless examples of how a battle must not be made. The problem its that could be a bad design but why can pass too many hands only to approve this mess.
20 minutes do nothing (except coffe, clean the room, feed my cats and drink the coffe) waiting that your side flies do nothing to enter hyperspace.
Regarless that its mandotory approve iwats (only to dont apply in the design) reward the designers with something to add a simple RELOAD craft when you face more that 3 capitals vessels.

Moderately interesting battle, but some considerable technical glitches: starships with starfighter orders, cap ship waypoints set too close (collisions galore!). Standard-issue plot.

Unsatifying. Reload craft Badly needed in some missions!!!

A little to easy. Mission 3: concept good, design bad. I also did not like TBA pilots in action :P Title.lfd :)))

Title: The Resh Battle
Missions: 5

MISSION 1

It is time for the restoration of Imperial Order.
Resh Squadron will temporarily be moved off of the SSSD Sovereign
soon, to accomplish this.
First thing we need to do is eliminate the Rebels that are
trailing us. Only then the EH will attempt to re-enter into the
Galactic Core.

MISSION 2

Now that you got the Rebels off our back, we can begin to
gather supplies to make our way to the Core. We will be sending
multiple squadrons out to take supplies from local rebel stations.
Resh will be responsible for the outpost HG-32. Once the
outpost is disabled we will send in the Assault Transport
Recovery to board and take the supplies.

MISSION 3

Maj. Firebird has decided to retire from active duty for personal
reasons. Since we are his squad, Resh will fly cover for his transfer
to the M/FRG Phoenix. It should be simple and without problems.
This gives you all a chance to say your goodbyes and see him fly
one last time before retirement.
Who knows maybe it wont last. Immediately after your escort
mission you will head directly to a Rebel convoy that is blocking
our way into the Core.

MISSION 4

We will head straight to the Core Jump Point. To do that
Resh Squadron will jump in and destroy the defensive platforms
guarding the jump point. Be careful: this is also a supply depot
so ships in need of supplies might show up.

MISSION 5

We have a clear path straight to the Core Worlds. You will
escort a preliminary task force to the jump point and then enter the
Core yourselves.
