This was my first mission with the TIE Praetor and the second ever in the TIE Corps.
I really enjoyed how the first mission had you taking down a CR90 along with a few rebel fighters, all on your own (if you bothered to send your wingman home for extra points, at least) in a measly, standard TIE Fighter !
But more importantly, across its next five missions it was a nice showcase of the TIE Praetor's ludicrous power while keeping a modicum of challenge throughout, all with a simple if perfectly functional storyline that manages to tie in nicely with the gameplay experience.

Far too many fighters to take out, and the missions all seemed the same.

Do you enjoy battles with mission goals that make no sense? Does it give you a thrill to spend 45 minutes on a mission, just to have a Y-wing limp away at the end and automatically FAIL your primary goals? Hey, do you love having wave after endless wave of A-wings with advanced missles taking potshots at you? Well then you're in luck, because TC-TIE 157 provides all of that and oh so much more. No messy briefing maps to get in your way, and no bothersome plot to spoil the neverending waves of Rebel fighters that just keep coming back for more. And just when you think it can't get any "better", just sit back and watch the Rebels defy the laws of storage space by lauching over 100 fighters from only a pair of frigates. Guarenteed to result in multiple headaches, this is the type of battle that results in low participation during a competition because pilots run out of motivation to force themselves to fly.

A playable battle, but it's not even near the LA-level

This was an excellent battle. I thoroughly enjoyed flying the Praetor and wiping out the rebels was surprisingly more entertaining in this battle than in all the other 'kill the fleet' battles. The way each flight worked together and the experience of full squadron battle gave this baby a plus. I reccommend this to anyone. And its amazing that I got a high score....hehehe

A very good battle and absolute must to fly. Good balance between number of enemies and difficulty and its fun to fly with the full squadron (not taking into consideration the fact they steal some kills ;P)

Great battle! I enjoyed it. Excellent briefings, what you would expect a flight officer to say in the EH. I loved having allof Praetorian out and battling alonside all of them. You don't see that often, a full squadron to support you. I had fun and anything with the Tie Praetor is good in my book. Great job Starn.

One of the better battles to come out in awhille, no bugs, realistic Flight Groups. And the three Praetorian Squadron Flights actually work well together. Rarely is actual team work seen in a TIE Battle. And above all else you get to use the TIE Praetor !!! My hats off to Commander Starn for making an excellent TIE Battle, and for making it an realictic Battle. Unlike those where its you vs world. It does not have map breifings, but I liked the way it was explained for why there was none. Take this old Pratorian's advice, drop what your doing and go fly this battle.

Some hints were dropped to him about a secret research facility located in the Woan Nebula. The facility is supposed to be working on a starfighter cloaking device, but is actually just a decoy. The Zupa is the "research" facility that is the bait. The quarry is the New Republic's newly commissioned Eighth Fleet. Praetorian's mission is to destroy that fleet.
