I definitely enjoyed this one - very reminiscent of the early battles in the original TIE Fighter game, which are some of my favorites. And I admittedly love flying the TIE Fighter when the missions are balanced for it, which is definitely the case in this battle. That being said, there's definitely a few issues with some of the flight group orders, mission goals, and design overall that drops this one for me. But definitely still an enjoyable one.

This was a fun battle overall, if you don't mind an unshielded TIE. Some missions were really fun, but some got old pretty fast, like when you just have to kill 12 squirrely A-wings in a row and that's it. Overall it becomes average to slightly above by the end.

I think this battle should have a much higher ranking than it currently does, personally. This was an extremely fun battle, one of the best I've done in a long time. The plot was fun, reminiscent of some of the earlier battles of TIE Fighter, and well done. Particularly of note was its realism and its use of the TIE Fighter, a craft I am rapidly beginning to love again. Each of the missions sees you barreling headfirst into a swarm of fire, coming out just barely. Each mission was well balanced, if a bit on the easy side, as I as able to complete each mission the first time with one exception. Essentially, it's just a great, fun battle. I'd recommend it.

The only upside was no bugs...the T/F got old real fast...

Battle lists "EH Ship Patch" and "Fly Rebel Fighters" as a required patch, but this is not true - all missions in battle use the TIE Fighter. Patch is not required to play.
Mission 5: Bonus goals complete immediately (Wants 100% of TIE Bombers to survive, but there's no other goals to wait for, so it triggers immediately. Enemy A-Wings are also set as an alternative mothership for the player, so player is constantly bombarded with "Press Space to Go home" messages while dogfighting A-Wings.
