Ran for RtF with full cheats and on easy. Has only 3 missions really, just copy and pasted over and over.

This started off decent. Some of the missions were sort of repetitive, and would have been better with fewer waves.
But around mission #12, it gets really lazy; one mission is repeated almost identically 5 or 6 times, and it's extremely tedious. I gave up at that point and just finished with cheats.

The missions in this battle are decent... but you'll fly them multiple times each. More than half of the missions are almost exact copies of the rest, this makes for an incredibly repetitive and tedious battle to fly.
My fifty-fifth battle in the TIE Corps.

This is a mixed bag of a battle ... Being 20 missions long it has some pretty nice fights followed by some filler missions. Could have definitely been cut down or split into separate battles but overall it wasn't horrible. Just a major time commitment.

This one was okay - for the point of spamming some missions up for RTF it worked well. Some of the battles were just exact copies of previous battles, so that made it a little bit less fun to play overall.

This was not, strictly speaking, a bad idea or setting. Just if you're going to repeat a kind of mission over and over from different perspectives, the missions need to have some level of complexity or at least a perspective change with reasonable differences. You get neither here, and basically in effect, it's just flying the same mission over and over. If it wasn't for RtF? No way.

Nice idea, but it could be a lot more fun if you didn't have to fly lots f missions several times because mission X is a copy of mission Y.

How to make a CAB battle ??? Design one mission, copy it, and in each put player in different craft... You should now get a picture how this battle looks. Or fighting solo 8 squadrons of fighters in 3 mission in row ?!?. That's ridicoulus... 2 for no bugs and FCHG points.

I could not really stand this battle. It was the same mission over and over. I killed the same ship four diff. times. It went on and on. Gets a one for no bugs.

This battle was one of the most boring I have ever flown. It is essentially flying the same mission over again and again with different player craft. If it were up to me, this battle would be removed from the listings.

give the man a break. This is a good concept, but it could be much more fun if you got the Dragon on more missions.

This battle had good plotline, good ambientation, so what shocked me was how robbed I felt when I flew a few missions. Same stuff (literally) repeated over and over again, only the names change. It was easy to come up with a battle with +20 missions. Just clone them!

Yes this battle is repetetive and yes it IS long. But is an excellent opportunity to train for both new AND seasoned pilots. It trains patience, dogfighting and consistency. There ARE not may other battles able to do this

The only reason I am even giving this battle a 1 is that the creator found an original idea to the battles of repeating them over and over from different points of view. Other than that, there were about 4 different battles throughout the entire thing. There were 2 patches, but they were used only once each. Overall I think this was a terrible battle and don't understand how it was approved. Don't fly this battle!

This mission was great the first time I played it, but after flying it a dozen or so times, it wasn't so great anymore. What a cheap way to make a battle, you act all cool and release a 20 mission battle, but it's 3 missions repeated over and over with different ship names. What a jip, though the 20 points was kinda cool to get, it's not worth the pain and anguish I suffered flying this stinker.

This was possibly the worst battle ive ever flown. You fly the same battle like, what, 5 or 6 times? Maybe your in a MB instead of a TD, or have different wingmates, but ultimately, you have the same goal and same enemies. It just was horrible. Of course, thats just my opinion.

It wasn't a war, or a battle, it was nothing more than trivial mission after repeat mission. If it takes squad after squad to destroy the same ships over and over again, then it's not worth the time. Even if it is a Combined Battle, please find some change in the mission structure and settings.

... The 2 is respect for having the infinite patience to put together and playtest such a massively repetative series of missions. I sure didn't have the patience to finish after hitting that one bug around Mission 13 that forced me to fly the same exceptionally long boring mission, thus screwing up my points... :(

Very repetitive, doing nearly every mission twice gets quite boring. It does follow a structured plot and is good for adding 20 more FCHG points.

This is an excellent, bug-free battle(a 20 mission bug free battle is rare :P). The only downside is that alot of the missions are simply copies of previous ones with different ship names. Other than that, this is an excellent battle!

Stage I "Testing the Waters" Plot Line Delta-1 and Rho-1’s tasks will be executed simultaneously. Rho-1’s destruction of the Eos Perimeter Sensors will provide a smoke screen for the Delta-1 reconnaissance. Rho-1 will continue on to rendezvous with Rho-2 and Rho-3, just prior to the attack on the factory.. Task 1: (Pertains to Delta-1) Background Delta-1 will be sent on a reconnaissance of the perimeters of the Auroran Planetary System. The object is to gather as much additional information as possible without being detected. Task 2: (Pertains to Rho-1) Background General Coelis , Commander of Rho Squadron, leads Rho-1 on task to eliminate the Eos Perimeter Sensor probes. After the probes are destroyed, Rho-1 will rendezvous with the rest of Rho Squadron, and GN Coelis will lead an assault on the Mycogen Biological Chemical Factory. Mission 1: "Destruction of Mycogen" (Designed for Rho Squadron) Background Rho-1 will be just concluding the erasure of the last probe (v.s. Task 2) when the rest of Rho Squadron, under the temporary command of FLT LDR/GN Gourmi/Rho-2, will exit hyperspace just beyond the sensor range of the Mycogen Biological Chemical Factory. By the time GN Gourmi closes within striking distance of the FAC, Rho-1 will arrive, and CMDR GN Coelis will take command of the attack. Some resistance is expected from the Factory's garrison. It will undoubtedly call for help, so intervention by Auroran partols in the area is likewise expected. Stage II "Introduction to Fear" Plot Line The Missions of Delta and Tau Squadrons were launched in succession. When Delta crossed over Aurora on its final leg, Tau will have arrived in normal space, within striking distance of PLT Settler. The overall purpose of this Stage of the Battle is to demonstrate to the Aurorans how vulnerable they are to the operations of our fleet. They will be unable to prevent our recon efforts, and unable to adequately protect their own citizens. It is hoped that this will serve to demoralize the leaders and the people of this system, thus bringing the battle to an early conclusion. Mission 1: "Follow-up Recon" (Designed for Delta Squadron) Background Delta Squadron, will conduct a reconnaissance of both the Venabili and Seldon Factory installations. The presence of minefields suggests that these facilities are most likely military in nature If so, they will be secured in subsequent missions. Factory garrisons will be scrambled, and near-by patrols will be summoned into the area in an attempt to thwart the efforts of Delta. After completion of the recon operation of the FACs, Delta will perform the 'task' of a fly-over Aurora itself. The expected inability of Aurora to prevent this, will most likely prove most unsettling to its inhabitants. Mission 1: "Civilian Target" (Designed for Dark Brotherhood and Tau Squadron) Background A platform identified as PLT Settler is the chosen target. It is lightly defended, and civilian in nature. The attack upon this civilian target is specifically designed to demonstrate the horror of war to this long peaceful system. It is hoped that such an act will discourage and dishearten the Aurorans. Then BG Melan Pyr, Commander of Tau Squadron, unsure that Tau would be activated in time for the missions in this battle, elected to ask the Dark Brotherhood to take over. The Tau squadron members who are also in the Dark Brotherhood, will be released from their regular duties for this special mission. RA Sths Tor, the new Commodore of the Dungeon Ship Lichtor V, will lead the attack It is expected that an insignificant garrison is all that protects the colony. Once disposed of, the only threat might remain is from the Auroran Defense Fleet, which may dispatch fighters to the area in an effort to save its citizens. The DB-Tau pilots will be flying the new A-9 Vigilance Interceptor. Its turbo cannons, high speed and maneuverability are only the most obvious of its assets. The most dangerous aspect rests with the pilot himself. The A-9 allows a Dark Jedi to use the Force in combat. This can have the effect of completely disarming an enemy. This asset more than compensates for the lack of shielding or warheads Stage III "The Hammer Strikes" Plot Line Mission 1:(Eos Quadrant Assault) ”Capture of Helicon” (Designed for Beta Squadron) There are two theaters involved in Stage III: The Eos Quadrant Assault, and Baley Quadrant Operations. The four missions of the Eos Quadrant Assault commenced simultaneously, and were launched a bit prior to the Baley Quadrant Operations. Background General Sabre, Commander of Beta Squadron, will begin his attack on the Helicon Munitions Factory at the same time as the attacks on other targets in the Eos Quadrant Assault begin. The Helicon Factory will prove useful to the Hammer in the future, and so the object will be to eliminate the FAC's fighter cover and capture the facility. The ATR group Insult, with standard Imperial Storm Troopers aboard, will then arrive after the FAC has been disabled. The ATR will dock with the FAC and secure its capture. The VSD Formidable, will then hyper-in to the area and drop off a squadron (I-Helicon) of TIEs to re-garrison the facility. These TIEs will be piloted by standard Imperial pilots. An Imperial Navy General will be placed in command of the base. Mission 2A & 2B: (Eos Quadrant Assault) ”Engagement with the First Fleet” (Designed for Alpha and Lambda Squadrons) Background In order for the rest of the Eos Quadrant Assault to be successful, the First Fleet, stationed in orbit around Eos, will have to be tied down and eliminated. Two strike squadrons (Alpha & Lambda) were chosen for the mission. They will encounter fighters and capital ships. It was agreed that those capital ships that escaped destruction would be disabled and captured. Hammer Command will determine if they should be kept or destroyed at a later date. The two squadrons will catch the Auroran First Fleet in a pincer. Alpha will be under the command of GN Marko. Alpha will encounter the FRG Mayor of Wye, the CRS Gaia, and the Corvette group Compor. Lambda will be led by its new Commander, BG Primum. Lambda will take on a brace of Corvettes, the Nebulon-B Frigate Stars End, and the Calamari Cruiser Terminus. Mission 3: (Eos Quadrant Assault) "Destruction of PLT Giskard"" (Designed for Gamma Squadron) Background Gamma Squadron, under the command of GN Strife, will attack and destroy the defensive PLT Giskard, and any defending forces. Mission 4: (Eos Quadrant Assault) "Capture of Sunmaster“ (Designed for Epsilon Squadron) Background General Andrew, Commander of Epsilon Squadron, will begin his attack on the Sunmaster Missile Factory at the same time as the attacks on other targets in the Eos Quadrant Assault begin. The Sunmaster Factory will prove useful to the Hammer in the future, and so the object will be to eliminate the FAC's fighter cover and capture the facility. The ATR group Injury, with standard Imperial Storm Troopers aboard, will then arrive after the FAC has been disabled. The ATR will dock with the FAC and secure its capture. The VSD Monitor, will then hyper-in to the area and drop off a squadron (I-Sunmast) of TIEs to re- garrison the facility. These TIEs will be piloted by standard Imperial pilots. An Imperial Navy General will be placed in command of the base. Task: (Baley Quadrant Operations) "Interception of Liners" (Pertains to Dark Brotherhood) Background An armada of passenger liners, which had been alerted to the events happening around the Auroran System, was ordered to stand by to evacuated citizens from those locations. The Dark Brotherhood was chosen for the task of intercepting those liners and destroying them. They have no fighter escort, though some patrols might attempt to aid the liners. Mission 5: (Baley Quadrant Operations) "Destruction of PLT Baley“ (Designed for Pi Squadron) Background Pi Squadron, under the command of BG Sten, will attack and destroy the defensive PLT Baley, and any defending forces. It is expected that this attack will go smoothly, since so much of the Auroran navy is otherwise engaged. Stage IV “Aurora on the Brink” Plot Line Mission 1:”Engagement with the Second Fleet” (Designed for Wing II) Background In an attempt to re-take the Eos Quadrant, the enemy’s Second Fleet trundles towards the position of Wing II. Wing II will move to intercept. The mission would be challenging enough and it was decided that the risk of Hammer losses would be increased if attempts were made to capture the enemy’s capital ships. The SSD Avenger will remain midway between Daedalus and Aurora to drop off its squadrons, and will only hyper-in at the appropriate time. The mission will be conducted in 3 areas. Kappa Squadron under the command of GN Buddy will execute an attack on the 2nd Fleet's Left Flank. It will be backed up by Rho, should the need arise. They are expected to encounter a Frigate and a Corvette Group. Sigma Squadron , led by CMDR GN Veelon will attack the Fleet's Right Flank. Sigma's primary target will be the Calamari Cruiser Erythro. GN Yoni's Theta and BG Alpha's Psi Squadrons will launch a Center Strike. This attack will be directed against a Calamari Light Crusier, and a Frigate. Once all elements of Wing II have completed their missions, the Auroran 2nd Fleet will be destroyed. Task: ”Orbital Bombardment of Eos” (Pertains to Imperator, Ardent and Harpax) Background Eos, the moon of Aurora, and prior to our last missions, the most fortified area of the Aurora System, will be our next target. We will conduct an orbital bombardment with an assembled Task Force of our secondary vessels, M/INT Harpax II, M/FRG Imperator, M/FRG Ardent. This will be done to soften-up whatever planetary defenses remain upon the moon. The High Inquisitor, Fleet Admiral Stelek will be in command of this Orbital Bombardment Task Force. All areas of command and control, as well as planetary defense batteries will be targeted for destruction. The Eos Defense Fleet, mainly comprised of fighters, will have been decimated in the Eos Quadrant Assault of Stage III, so fighter protection for Eos will be almost non-existant. Once the aforementioned targets have been eliminated, hardened targets, such as ground garrison installations and underground munitions dumps will be targeted. The purpose is to reduce the fighting ability of Eos, in preparation for conquest. Mission 2: ”Engagement with the Aurora Defense Fleet” (Designed for Wing III) Background In an attempt to re-take the Eos Quadrant, the enemy’s Aurora Defense Fleet is moving towards Eos. Wing III , under the command of Wing Commander MG Nemesis, will hyper in to intercept. As in the case of the Engagement with the Second Fleet, occurring simultaneously, this mission will be an all out battle, involving the enemy fleet and an entire Hammer Wing. The ISD Colossus under the command of Commodore RA Goatboy, will move into range to drop off its daughter ships, and will then hyper out. The attack will occur over two phases. Mu, Iota and Phi, under CMDRs GN Top Ace, BG Wedge, and GN Abaddon respectivly, will soften up fighter defenses in the first phase. Pi and Nu, under CMDRs BG Sten, and GN Dude respectivly, will finish off the capital ships. Collectivly, Wing III will be facing a fully loaded Escort Carrier, 2 Frigates, 1 Modified Frigate, a Corvette Group, all of the squadrons held therein, and numerous patrols. Mission 3:"Find 'em, Fool 'em, Frag 'em, and Forget 'em” (Designed by and for the Infiltrator Wing) Background Platform Reventlov remains as the enemy's strongest presence in the Reventlov Quadrant. Since the area is so heavily fortified, it was decided that the Infiltrator Wing be used to launch a surprise attack. Agents for the Hammer contacted the Aurorans in the guise of New Republic emissaries, with an offer of aid. The Aurorans accepted, and the 'Republic' promised them a CRS to help. Of course this Mon Calamari was actually the Infiltrator's Despot. (v. Infiltrator Wing Operation in main document) Mission 4:"Destruction of PLT Daneel” (Designed for Wing IV) Background Platform Daneel is the only defensive position the Aurorans have left in the Reventlov Quadrant. Wing IV, under the command of LG Brett, will be deployed by the ISD Vanguard. It will consist of two squadrons: Viper, commanded by GN Doomsday, and Dragon commanded by GN Andy In succession, the two squadrons will attack and destroy the PLT and the Modified FRG Galaxia which was sent to defend it. Hammer Command has elected to use the TIE Dragon, even though the danger of dog fighting exists. Command would like to see how the Dragon performs against some standard fighters. It is hoped that Viper will have eliminated most of the more bothersome fighters, such as the A-Wings, before the Dragons arrive at the scene. Stage V “Sunset Over Aurora” Plot Line Mission 1:”Counter Attack?” (Designed for the Entire EH Fleet) Background Reports of a massive counter-attack are coming in. All available EH pilots are ordered to get to the nearest fighter craft to turn back this threat! Task: ”Securing Eos” (Pertains to Excelsior ,Hammer’s Fist & TFC Roxanna) Background The fighter and static defenses of Eos had been eliminated through previous missions and tasks. All that remains is for the major surviving centers of command and control upon the moon to be secured. In preparation for ground operations three capital ships moved into orbit around Eos: The LCD Excelsior containing Hammers Fist Troopers, the TFC Roxanna with hospital module attached, and the ISD Colossus, which will provide the bulk of the Storm Trooper and Imperial Army troops needed to secure the moon. The Commodore of the ISD Colossus, RA Goatboy will be in command of the operation. The Grand Admiral , recognizing the need for tight discipline and control of ground operations, placed Hammers Fist members as liaison officers to the standard Imperial Storm Trooper and Army units. They would each hold the temporary rank of “Acting Captain”, and would insure that the will of the Grand Admiral would be a constant consideration in all coming ground operations. It was felt that their elite status entitled them to this honor. Task: ”Siege of Aurora” (Pertains to Avenger, Imperator, Ardent and Harpax II) Background For a siege upon a world the size of Aurora, the flag ship of the fleet will be needed. The SSD Avenger will arrive, signaling the commencement of the siege. The M/INT Harpax II, the M/FRGs Imperator and Ardent, under the command of FA Stelek, will be moved into position. When in place all four vessels will unleash an orbital bombardment designed to eradicate any sizable surface defense emplacements. The Grand Admiral himself will command this operation. As tactical targets become harder to locate, the big guns of the capital ships will begin targeting the major population centers. Warning of this action will be given to the citizens of Aurora, prior to this phase of the attack. Hammer command does not wish to inflict unnecessary suffering on the planet's population, but they must be made to understand that the Emperors Hammer demands unconditional surrender, and will not relent until that is offered. Task:"Interdiction of Refugees” (Pertains to Psi Squadron) Background Those Aurorans who have the means to escape, are apparently trying to do so. With the Harpax II deployed on the far side of the planet, Aurorans are attempting to escape through the Spacer and Settler Regions. Psi Squadron will be responsible for interdicting any attempt by Aurorans to escape. This is most important, because if even one craft manages to slip by, word of Aurora and our presence here will possibly be disclosed. Stage VI “Victory is Ours” Plot Line No longer needed, the Orbital Bombardment Task Force under the command of Fleet Admiral Stelek, and the ISD Colossus enter hyperspace en route to their next missions. Task:” "Destruction of Extraneous Facilities"” (Pertains to Emperor’s Hammer) Background Some facilities, such as platforms, and civilian industrial units, which are not essential to the Emperor's Hammer or do not serve the occupation will be destroyed. Most such facilities have been abandoned, or are garrisoned very lightly. Various elements of the Emperors Hammer will undertake the destruction of these places. Fleet Admiral Adams will oversee this operation . Task: ” Capture of Useful Facilities” (Pertains to Emperor’s Hammer) Background Those areas and facilities which may prove useful to the Fleet, or which may serve the purpose of this occupation, will be secured and garrisoned. The Hammer's new Tactical Officer Admiral Tav Briel `Lya will be placed in charge of the operation. Task: ” Accepting Aurora's Surrender” (Pertains to Grand Admiral Ronin) Background The Aurorans have declared their surrender. Unfortunately for them, several of their metropolitan areas were completely obliterated before they saw the wisdom of this decision. Their head of state, First Minister R. Naelead Vilowa will be summoned to the SSD Avenger, to appear before the Grand Admiral. The First Minister will hand Grand Admiral Ronin the badge of office, and will sign the documents of surrender. Stage VII "Securing the System" Task: “Installation of Garrisons” (Pertains to Imperial Army Troops) Background It has long been the practice of Imperial strategists, to only lightly garrison worlds which the Empire has conquered. The theory is, that since the destructive capability of a single Imperial Star Destroyer is enough to deliver significant punishment to any planet, there is no need for heavy garrisons. The garrisoning operation will be run by Operations Officer Vice Admiral Melan Pyr Aurora and Eos will be garrisoned by the minimum number of Storm Trooper and EH Imperial Army units. They will be equipped with vessels capable of the rapid deployment of their troops, should any isolated trouble erupt. It is hoped that the threat of the return of the SSD Avenger on a punitive visit will be enough to maintain order Task: “Counter Espionage” (Pertains to Secret Order) Background Although armed resistance to EH Imperial control is expected to be light, the EH feels that the greatest danger might come from terrorist attacks. The Secret Order will attempt to infiltrate Auroran society for the purpose of information gathering and counter espionage. Secret Order agents will report to Admiral Paladin, Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood.
