Great story, good balance to the action, only wish that the shields were set to full at the start of the missions.

A solid battle that is well executed, only a few minor issues but nothing game breaking.

A great battle for A-Wing enthusiasts! Good use of the craft overall as well, as most missions are tailored made for what the A-Wing does best

Nice battle of good length; it scales up in difficulty nicely from 1 to 4 with 5 being a nice way to cap it off and end it. I also liked that they worked in a nice cinematic moment after hypering to another waypoint in mission 4; I think more missions need to deliver story elements where the player gets to see something critical by looking at the right spot when the timing is right. Good variety of fighters to fight against, good mix of objectives in missions. And being tied to an A-wing the whole battle felt thematic as it being your specialization and role within the fleet.

Great selection of mission types, most enjoyable. Mission 5 was hard work through, as the MCRV's were monsters and hard to kill!

Great battle with spectacular scenery! It is so much fun flying an A-Wing, despite it not being perfectly suited for a bombing mission like mission 5.

The story and briefings were nicely thought out and presented. Mission 1 was fairly straight forward, zip in and kill some satellites. Mission 2 was crazy and the reason this is not rated a 5. You have to inspect a ton of capital ships, all alone, and not die. It only took me a couple of tries, but wow, it was crazy.
Mission 3 was a struggle for me, but it was a very enjoyable struggle. One massive battle. Quite entertaining. Mission 4 and 5 were a bit easier than 3 and just helped wrap up the story.

A nice battle, well developed with a gripping plot. The A-W is definitely not a nice startfighter when entering a massive capship battle and anyhting else would have been better. Difficulty was above average, but I am a lousy XWA pilot, so I can not judge very well. I had a lot of fun with this one.

I'll start by saying that the A-Wing isn't my favourite IW ship to fly, and that some elements of this campaign would've been easier in an X-Wing. That said, aside from having to watch a friendly base be destroyed before friendly forces showed up, this was an excellent campaign with a compelling story!

This battle was well made, without any visible bugs. The storyline is okay, I'm not a big fan of the alphabet fighters, but since it's a IW battle I can't really count this against it. The third mission was tough, but if you follow the orders it's way easier. Good job!

A couple of the missions are pretty bare bones, the fleet engagement in 3, though, is pretty awesome. Story's fairly incoherent, but again, mission 3 makes the whole thing worth it.

This was my first foray into the IW series of missions and it was an interesting one at that. I wasn't crazy about flying the A-Wing at first, but it proved to get the job done. I believe it was mission 4, to finish the rebel fleet. That was a tough mission. My flying skills, personally, were not quite up to par, although I can see where it might present a good challenge to a more skilled pilot. All in all this was a good mission. I'm not sure I fully grasp the IW component of it, but it was a good time.

I thought this battle was quite fun! It’s an interesting change of pace to fly Rebel craft for a change. You fly the A Wing for all missions in this battle and, considering that the A wing is the one Rebel craft that I absolutely hate to dog fight, it’s nice to turn the tables for once. I also appreciate the fact that it was rather realistic, as a naval engagement typically starts with a whole hell of a lot of recon followed by multiple small skirmishes, then one huge one that typically decides a battle, and that’s exactly what this was. I know a lot of people hate on it but I love the blow everything to pieces missions, especially when you are in a fast attack craft like an A-wing that is just made for dogfighting. Overall I can find very little to complain about in this battle...job well done by the creator!

Loved it, great mission...the only reason I didn't give it a 5 was due to the use of A-Wings in every single mission...

All around great battle. Huge dogfights, plus the you vs. the world kindof missions, and a flawless storyline. My only problem was that sometimes there were just too many ships to shoot at and my comp slowed down. :)

Battle created with AlliED v1.04 (registred version) by IWTAC/FA Striker (striker@tiecorps.org) for the Infiltrator wing (http://www.infiltratorwing.org)
The Gates Of Hell - Abyssi Ianua - An Infiltrator Wing XWA Battle - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Empire is not careless about the location of its strongholds and bases. They are invariably carefully position and heavily defended; cushioned on all sides by Imperial ruled systems, they are almost unbesiegeable, and should any Rebel force be so foolish as to attempt an attack, they would find themselves facing a fortress well-prepared. But what if there was a path through which the Rebels could reach some such stronghold, a never-closing gate offering them instant passage to the heart of the Empire? Such a passage would be something the Empire must employ all its power and resources to keep from Rebel hands, at any cost. Welcome, then, to Abyssi Ianua. On the edges of the Karana system but outside Imperial space lies a sprawling asteroid field. Any ship attempting to pass through its fatal depths would be either forced out or smashed to pieces by the hurtling, chaotic asteroids that flew through the with immense force. At the outer corners of this field there lie six great stable asteroids, like beacons at the ocean’s edge, guardians of a treacherous maze. Until lately, no-one knew what it was they guarded. But now, the path of a rogue planet circling a nearby star has brought it close enough to the asteroid field to bring the two gravitational fields into collision. The effect this had was to alter the asteroid field forever; it became slower and more calm- possible to navigate small ships through, marking out safe paths for larger ones to follow on behind. Almost at once, scout ships from Rebel and Imperial forces alike were sent out to discover what lay within it. There in the depths of the asteroids, the two groups encountered each other and in the chaos of the field a skirmish broke out as the Imperial Infiltrator Wing attacked their unwary opponents, lulled into a false sense of security by the too-familiar approaching X-wings. But they did succeed in sending a message before they were shot from the skies; the same message that the returning victorious Infiltrator Wing pilots brought to the Empire. There at the centre of the field, huge yet stable, they had unearthed a great wormhole. And where did this wormhole lead? Simply across the entire breadth of the Emperor’s Hammer territories, a distance that could take even days to travel in hyperspace, bringing the traveller out close to the Setii system. Both sides at once recognised its value. With the wormhole in their possession the Rebels would have an instant path to attack the Aurora system, homebase of the Emperor's Hammer. Likewise, the Empire’s forces would be able to summon reinforcements at a moment’s notice from the other side of the galaxy. And to each side it was doubly important because of its value to the enemy. They named the wormhole the Abyssi Ianua: the Gates of Hell. It was no idle name, for any ship that tried to pass through the field without the proper paths and routes would be smashed to pieces by the asteroids. The key to the capture of the wormhole is simple: whoever owns the six asteroids, circling the asteroid field in their hexagonal shape, owns the Gate, and the right of passage through it. And so the battle begins! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (all missions have full briefings and debriefings, following a more detailed plotline) Mission 1 - First Encounter In this first mission, you must destroy the Rebel communication network established in Abyssi Lanua; find and destroy all probes and satellites in your A-wing. Mission 2 - Locate the Rebel Fleet We must locate the Rebel Fleet within the Abyssi Ianua in order to destroy it. Inspect several sectors of the Abyssi Ianua in your A-wing. Mission 3 - Battle at Abyssi Ianua We have located the Rebel fleet; with the help of some elements of the Tie Corps Battlegroups, we are to destroy every Rebel ships...your A-wing will be part of the fighter cover, destroy any attacking starfighter. Mission 4 - Key to Hell Rebels believed they escaped, they were wrong...finish the Rebel Fleet once for all. Once again, you provide space cover to the rest of the fleet. Mission 5 - Final Destruction Ares Squadron has located a secret Rebel base in one of the asteroids; escort Ares in a strike mission and clean the area.
