Enjoyable little free. Interesting Star Trek crossover.
Can be done fast if required but can also be a fun battle.
Love the trek references! Otherwise, it's a pretty basic mission.
Quite enjoyed this one actually! Not sure why it took me so long to get around to playing this mission. The ST references were okay I suppose, and it was pretty easy to complete. I changed to heavy bombs and that help kill off the station sooner, which was just the usual shoot it until it blows up sort of thing. Worth playing? Yep :)
This was a fairly straight forward battle, taking out the core and the probe were both a somewhat simple process as was the transports the bad part of the battle was after everything is taken care of except the platform I ended up just having to sit and kill it with lasers only which of course takes a minute or two.
Overall it was a fun battle that didn't take a long time to complete.
OMG! A mashup! Deep Space 9 was always my favorite in the Star Trek Universe, so it was super nice to visit.
It was also very painful to have to blow up the wormhole aliens, the station, its ejected warp core, and three more transports full of trekkies. 5/5 for playing with my emotions. Take space bombs for the platform, and you'll want to ion everything in sight after that.
Pretty easy even on hard. I swapped out the rockets for space bombs for the platform. Once you get the platform shields down, make sure to disable and finish with cannons.
Fun mission, silly premise but entertaining. This mission has you taking out a few smaller craft then a platform, likely solo if your wingmates died immediately like mine did. But you are easily equipped to finish the job by yourself if you're careful. This was a quick but solid free mission.
This was a rivetting experience of shooting a platform and then a probe. My metal was truly tested as an elite pilot. The platform almost shot me down on multiple occasions, however, I persevered. Long live the Emperor! Guwaaargghaaaah!
Exquisitely simple, and an amusing reminder of the 1990's when Star Trek vs Star Wars was a much more common thing than it is today. Straightforward to play on hard and get what appears to be a maximum score provided you send home your wingmen and take on 3 transports and a platform on your own.
The best part of the mission was the plot. A bit of Star Wars vs Star Trek love. As for the content of the mission, it was fine. Poke the platform and then fight the TRNs that pop out. It was nice that they tried to shoot back, including with missiles. Played on hard but the mission was still extremely easy. This mission was leaps and bounds better than the previous Dorja mission, so hopefully their future missions in this series keep getting better as well.
Destroying a station three TRNs, a satelite and a defensless ship that spawns out of nowhere. Not much of a chellange. Also they are trying to be funny with Star Trek references. Oh well, so be it.
The plot is a bit creative I suppose, but it's not particularly my cup of tea since I generally prefer more immersive missions. The mission is straightforward, even on hard: destroy the platform, transports, and a couple misc items - that's it. There isn't any real opposition other than the guns of the platform itself. For what it is, it works fine: quick and easy completion points, but nothing especially memorable or challenging.
I played this on easy with cheats on, i liked the star trek references. pretty easy to cheese with cheats on, unlimited protons on the platform and the mission is over before it began
A very short mission that I played on easy. You hyper in and destroy a platform and a probe and then you hyper out with the mission complete. It's a very easy mission to finish when you need a quick mission.
Okay this is very straight forward but it is easy to forget a few things. Be sure to look at the secondary objectives. You have to kill DS9 which is easy with a rocket barrage, but then afterwards you cannot forget to also shoot the warp core and the warp relay. I like the nod to DS9, but the mission itself is extremely easy. Another one to just knock out for a quick point grab.
It's a very quick mission as others have mentioned in their reviews. Simply put you want to hyper in and destroy a platform, which can take a little bit of time if you play without unlimited ammo or timex acceleration. If you take both of those options though it can be done in under 60 seconds flat.
Another real short one. I played on Easy. Your main goal is to kill a Platform, which can go very quickly if done right. This is another battle that I've spent more time reviewing than playing. If you need points, this is great.
Spam review: Kill a single platform. You're done in a minute. Delightful. Clearly this is some sort of Star Trek reference... remember the good old days when we just teased that Wars was better than Trek instead of whether the Wars were themeselves good, bad or ugly? I digress. This is good for spam and not quite as awful as the rating implies... but it's not great either.
I usually enjoy battles that are easy, but man this one was too easy. Not enjoyable at all. Get your FCHG point and never load this battle again. It is that bad.
Overall, not a great mission in large part due to the difficulty. There was never any challenge seen in the mission, and was very easy to complete. Minimal combat skill was needed to complete the mission and its secondary objectives. Easy FCHG points for those who want to complete it.
-1 for that Star Trek reference. Another quick mission with no replay value, something that you can accomplish while doing your laundry. If you're looking for a challenge, you're really, really not in the good place.
Compared to Dorja's first mission this is a masterpiece. Compared to regular custom missions, this is still garbage and a waste of time. I am going over the missions one by one (will take a while) to complete them. There is no challenge other than to find a way and break Impulse's high score record. I came agonizingly close on the first try. Again like TIE Free #5, unless you want to complete all missions don't fly it. Waste of time. The only nice idea here was trying to create the DeepSpace9 homage.
This has got to be one (if not the first) crossovers ever made hehe. Good idea, decent attempt with the craft selection, yes , TRNs could be runabouts' counterparts but thats pretty much about it. At some point I saw a huge SPC and I don't know if it was an attempt of FX or a bug. I couldn't tell as it just got in the way of the rockets so... 3/5 for the initiative. Could use more, better special stuff.
Plot have no sense.
Inflight messages have no connections to events
1 point for creator's effort
It's not even funny. An utter waste of time.
Only marginally better than Dorja #1. Kill a few TRNs and a PLT (which isn't armed with missiles), along with a SPC that doesn't shoot back if you're feeling particularly ambitious.
Much too easy. Extra point for blowing up Deep Space Nine :P One more thing, why could I enter the enemy platform's hangar?
It is not the Star Trek theme...I do not mind that at all. Rather, it is a very unchallenging mission....ANY pilot can finish this mission on Hard, which devalues the mission's ability to rate a pilot's performance considerably.
at was a bit over the top about star trek
