Played on easy with full cheats. Bit annoying to be honest

There is a big report for mission 3 stating that a mandatory ship does not appear. In reality, you have to disable the shuttle you are protecting to trigger the event and finish the mission.
All in all, not very fun missions. As it has already been mentioned there are some really wonky triggers. One mission actually has the same primary objective listed twice for some reason.
Most of these missions are pretty hard even on easy. Not because the missions are challenging—just easy to fail because of very small windows. Most of the time, instead of actually doing the missions objectives, I had to manipulate the game’s AI and logic to win. I did this most often by disabling ships and telling my wingmen to ignore the target. This would prevent a trigger, either the next wave or a specific ship. Then, when I feel I am more prepared for the next wave, I would simply destroy the disabled ship and initiate the trigger.
Overall, I would not recommend this battle, but it’s not the worst one I have played.

There is a bug, in mission2 or 3? when the friendly corvette is hellbent on destroying the Carrack Cruiser you are meant to capture. The problem is, only after it is destroyed does the corvette finally hyperspace out, which lets you complete the primary objectives. In general, there were some sketchy triggers and craft behaviour, which made me not know what was on purpose and what wasn't. In the last mission a Gunboat was attacking me unprovoked, but it had imperial IFF. So, am I supposed to kill it? You don't know, as others have said, there are things that don't work right in this battle and it's a shame because it is an interesting one with a decent storyline.

Nothing special, but I have to dock points for an incredibly frustrating mission where the triggers aren't well-implemented -- when you're protecting a shuttle and some containers against Y-wings and R-41s the shuttle must be disabled to trigger a few key transports that must be destroyed. No disabling, no transports, no victory. It doesn't help that you're given the prompt 'we'll be back in 20 minutes' which might lead you to sit and wait wondering why the mission hasn't advanced after you killed two waves of fighters.

On the fun factor, well there is some of it. You can even find some decent challenges up to the use of a T/D. However, some of the storyline aspects doesn't make sense. Some of the briefings gave the right information but some others didn't help much with the mission goals which takes me to the next point... a bonus objective needed for a primary goal isn't a bonus goal, it is a primary objective on its own right. Someone could have ended up doing a number of trial and error when it could be hinted what to do. I'll give this one a 3/5

Although I like the idea behind this one, the gameplay issues take away from it. Having to disable a shuttle with 'Holding steady' orders is poointless, especially if that shuttle is fleeing pursuers, and having to dumb down my flying to allow a few Y-Wings to disable a Holding steady shuttle (when they're targeting other stuff first)... meh.

A short, simple battle that is mostly functional. There were a few bugs, but none of them gamebreaking. Some of the triggers were unclear. Experimentation or a cautious approach required for some objectives. Mission 2 is unusually difficult on hard difficulty, beware. Extra fighters arrive that are a huge threat to your mission critical craft. The briefings are very slim, and the officer doesn't have much to say. But pay attention to mission 3! Your officer informs you of a critical task you must perform in order for the mission triggers to proceed. Overall the battle could've used a lot more effort to fix the issues and expand the briefings. Despite how short and simplistic the missions were, I found the battle to be enjoyable to fly, and with enough variance in objectives and gameplay to keep it interesting. It's a good example of 'less is more' in mission design, but the bugs are a shame.

Very poor story and plotting, with unrealistic behaviour of the allied crafts. Medium difficulty.

This is my opinion and my opinion only. I personally thought it was the worst TIE Battle that I have played to date. I suggest that you just pass this one, unless you seriously want to commit suicide:P The first 3 missions were horrible, but it got a little better after.

Not the greatest batttle, some variation in the missions makes things good. Dificulty levels poorly implemented, goals and trigers in missions unlear. 1 for not so good, but functional working + 1 for the storyline/variation in missions

Tried numerous time to get through mission 3. Going by the primary goals the escort trans SNATCHER needs to be destroyed. However they never show up.

WING COMMANDER APPROVES BATTLE 11 FOR THE EMPEROR'S HAMMER The Wing Commander herein presents the eleventh approved Battle Plotline for the Emperor's Hammer Strike Wing created by General Shekinah (FLT MBR/Shekinah/Gamma-3/MIS)...This Battle shall be entitled the Renegade Battle... BATTLE XI: Renegade Background: After quenching the new rebel stronghold, the Empire awaited another campaign of reprisals from the Rebellion. With new developments from the Iron Hand and the Divine Wind pressuring the Imperial Fleet, tensions began to rise when the incidence of Rebel related attacks fell off. What were they up to?...Unbeknownst to the Empire, a small group within the New Republic became increasingly critical with the long campaign and in the light of the recent setback of their new base having been wiped out. Shortly after the demise of the new base, a Calamari cruiser, the Republic never showed up at the rendevous point; this ship was in the Core group of the Rebel command and contained critical information regarding the Rebellion's strengths, contigency plans, Imperial sympathizers, etc... A frantic search began by enlisting the help of Outer Rim pirates and sibling Rebel groups. A week later, a coded message was intercepted passing through the Military ComNet on a low-band. The problem was that the distress signal was not Imperial but from a derelict shuttle. The Hammer fleet, eager to crush the Rebellion still reeling from defeat, moved ships into position to investigate.... To be certain, the Emperor is sending a ComNet engineer from Coruscant by an Armed Envoy M/CRV. He is one of the best in the Empire and to be sure, the Rebels will probably want him dead.
