Don't attack the T/As he said. Does he know me? Of course, I will attack the T/As! All 100+ of them! (you'll know which mission I am talking about when you see it) This battle has glimpses of good ideas, badly implemented and untested. It's a reminder of the importance of testing to catch out issues and to improve the playability of a battle. Oh, and there is an ISD out for blood chasing you around...
This is an acceptable battle, but nothing to write home about. Starting off, the briefings are somewhat sloppy with some structural errors. The plot isn’t particularly well defined, with the enemy simply being “traitors.” In terms of gameplay, things generally work as expected. There is at least one mission where the capitals have fighter orders, resulting in some odd behavior. The enemy craft selection is also a bit odd, with Rebels occasionally flying unshielded T/Ds (?). This is one of those battles where if you’re playing for score, you’re going to have to stick around awhile after the mission objectives are completed to try to rack up points, which isn’t my favorite.
Not sure what this one is about. Looked like just a big frag fest with having to take out lots of big stuff with lots of rockets. The creator threw some hostile MIS and T/D in the mic (Rebels never actually had those I hope), but if the mission is too hard if the enemy T/D are there, don't try to make it easier by taking off their shields. Use something else. Major design flaw.
This was a good time. The missions were good with a good amount of challenge and did not drag on. I will always enjoy a MIS on MIS dogfight.
Short battle with a pretty paint by numbers type of story. A pretty implausible larger fleet action. Mission design was decently solid, but missions were still on the simple 'action done fast and now wait' for 6 minutes model that's a little typical of earlier battles.
All in all a solid battle with an easy to follow plot.
Lots of ship destruction towards the end of the battle.
An average battle. Short, simple, and very easy. The player has full control over the battle, so good scores are easy to obtain if you're willing to put in the effort and patience required. The first mission is the best, featuring the most complex and intensive action. The remaining missions are far more simple and feature from some odd design choices. The second mission has way too many waves of fighters, but you don't need to destroy them unless you want the points. The last two missions have fighters with dumbed down AI (and it shows) and also unshielded T/Ds. What's the point? They don't pose any threat or challenge whatsoever. The end result is a battle that's mostly about stomping capital ships and not much else. If you only care about primary objectives, it's over in a flash.
This is mediocre battle. There are no critical bugs. But some things might be changed. For example there are too many missile boats. I don't think this kind of craft is abundant in Emperor's Hammer. In the mission 2 Dreadnoughts are trying to follow your flight and shooting each other. They should be invincible because they appear in the next mission. Also you often hyper in right in the middle of enemy cap-ship formation when you need to attack them with missiles. All missions are super easy even on hard and have zero challenge. Briefings cold be made less simple.
This is a relatively well made battle, the plot line follows well and makes sense and the order of the missions makes sense. They are a little on the short side though and the battle can be completed in a single 30-45 min sitting with ease, which makes it a good battle for kicking off a squadron competition.
Battle has a strong reliance on capital ship destruction, dogfighting is an optional extra!
Well done and good plot; not so hard and aceptable history.
Last few battles were two short.
The Cap ship "swopping" is a nuiance, but other than that, they were fun to fly.
The main thing that bugged me about his mission was the sloppy flying of the cap ships, BUT the mission sure is fun!
I like this, you get some freedom here, True, alot of Cap ships, but basically a fun battle. Dan Note: Zaarin... Noooooooo Missile Boats!
Okay..but way to many capital ships to destroy (Can't you capture some??)
The mission were not that hard. But I Injoyed them alot. I like missions that are short and to the point.
There are currently no open bug reports for this battle.
